Prayer Update 06-02-06

Each month I receive a prayer update from OM. Here is what it said about Zimbabwe for this month. Please join me in praying for this situation.

The country with reckless abandon seems about to have a head-on collision with disaster. Many in the country have been saying it cannot go on - but it has. Bread now costs 3 times the largest denomination of paper money available. Inflation has raced past 1000% and is still accelerating. The bank looks like an airport check-in with rows of people with suitcases full of cash. If a person is robbed going to the bank, they will be robbed of the suitcase and the cash will be left behind because it is worthless. Living in this situation is a daily challenge for OM Zimbabwe, but they still believe God is on the throne as opportunities for the Gospel abound.

Prayer Points
1. Pray that the missionary workers will not be distracted by the economy, but be impressed by God and embrace each opportunity for outreach.
2. Pray for the team to remain focused on God and what He wants to accomplish.
3. Pray for an increase in book sales, as people have not been buying books, and pray for the team to find cash to change with their foreign exchange.

I have a bunch of articles and other things that I want to post, so in the next few days look for those.

Peace and blessings,
JZ
