My Initial Blogspot Blog
Hey all!Welcome to my new blogspot blog! I thought that I would start this blog to begin documenting this upcoming summer. As you all probably know, I am expecting to go to at least 5 countries on 3 continents this summer. Having never travelled overseas, I am excited, nervous, and anxious. It will be an amazing summer, not just for the experience but for the change that I expect to occur within myself as well.
As I am sure that you have realized through my blog title and through the web address, I feel that God is the one who is leading me this summer. He has provided these opportunities to me at this point in my life. There is really nothing holding me back right now. I have no family here, and if my job will let me go then I have no excuse not to. God blesses each person differently. To those of us that he hasn't yet blessed with a family he blesses with this freedom. So I am going to use it. I am too active and adventurous not to.
We will see where this leads. I hope that you continue to visit this blog to see updates on my experiences. I plan on updating with some of the preparation that is happening before I leave, news clips about where I am going, some of the daily occurences while I am away, and even post pictures as much as possible. Please use this site to pray for me while I am gone. I know that God will change me through this process and I hope that He will use me mightily while I am away.
Here is just a quick run-down of the plan for the summer:
June 19th - July 29th: Berlin, Germany. I also plan on exploring as much of Europe as time and finances will allow me.
July 29th - August 8th: Wichita, KS.
August 8th - August 29th: Harare and Siabuwa, Zimbabwe.
August 29th - October: Wichita, KS.
November & December: Berlin, Germany.
