Paris
I am currently writing from Madrid, Spain. I cannot wait to leave. This city is way too chaotic and my hotel isn't really in a place that makes sightseeing easy. Plus everything is super expensive. I spend 33 euros a day on parking! I don't know how people live here. The salaries are not high, but the price of everything is. It's quite strange.
Anyways, here are some pictures from my weekend trip to Paris. The weather on Saturday wasn't the greatest, but I still had a good time and saw all of the things that I think I would have liked to see. After 3 months on the road, the amount of time it takes to be tired of a new city decreases dramatically. I have no idea how people can spend an entire week in one city on vacation. I saw Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Arc de Triumph, and the Eiffel Tour all before 4 pm on Saturday and I was feeling like I was done! I think that my next (my first, actually) real vacation will be to a warm tropical beach....that sounds like a good vacation to me.
Enjoy the pictures.

Ich Bin Deutsch!
Today I registered my address with the German officials. I am one step closer to legal residence. I will likely just get everything in place and it will be time to go!

New Post and Pictures
Ok, so I have been told to update my blog and put on the pictures that I have been too lazy to upload. Actually, it was more that I was threatened to do this, and by someone who has access to tanks. Sure they are Canadian tanks...but still. =P
Anyways, I have two folders of pictures up. The first is from the day that I went shopping on the KuDamm in Berlin. This is a block from my flat and then goes for about a mile to the east. These pictures show some of the fascinating buildings along the road. In the lower floor of these buildings are stores like Bulgari, Gucci, Cartier, etc. Basically places that I would never ever shop. A little further down the street are the more affordable type places, and so I got a killer deal and bought a new coat. Here is that link:

AHHH!!!!
I HATE systems design. Don't confuse that with hating my job. I don't hate my job. I just hate doing this systems integration garbage. The project that I'm working on is a mess and it's other companies that have made it a mess. My current problem (and the one for which it is 2am and I'm still working with no solution coming to mind) is that there are 6 different systems that need to be run through a little area about 2 inches wide and 10 inches tall. The kicker is that the 2 systems that I am running have to go on last, so at the top, and one is electrical (approx. 400 volts) and the other is the fuel supply...fun fun fun!
One month and I'm out of here (probably) and will take it easy for at least a week. It's a little disheartening that I am looking forward to leaving Germany and the reason is simply the workload!
Oh well.
