Back in Berlin

So I am back in Berlin. Even as little as one month ago I had thought that I would not be back here, and yet, here I am. I am here for a scheduled 5 weeks. It is nice to be back in the summertime. The patio's are open and the weather today was gorgeous. We'll see if it stays this way.

I'll try to update often about what's going on. Right now everything seems a little uncertain as I am here to integrate some of Spirit's designs with the designs of a company from Spain called ITP. Unfortunately, ITP is a terrible company and don't seem to be playing fair. I hear rumours that their team isn't going to be here for more than only a few days, which is not adequate. So we'll see what happens. I know that my management is very unhappy and is pushing hard against Rolls-Royce to start flexing their muscle and not let ITP push them around. But who knows where it will go or where I will end up. Business politics are not my thing, and really, not my concern. I just do what I'm told.

So stay with me as I travel and work!

Paris

I am currently writing from Madrid, Spain. I cannot wait to leave. This city is way too chaotic and my hotel isn't really in a place that makes sightseeing easy. Plus everything is super expensive. I spend 33 euros a day on parking! I don't know how people live here. The salaries are not high, but the price of everything is. It's quite strange.

Anyways, here are some pictures from my weekend trip to Paris. The weather on Saturday wasn't the greatest, but I still had a good time and saw all of the things that I think I would have liked to see. After 3 months on the road, the amount of time it takes to be tired of a new city decreases dramatically. I have no idea how people can spend an entire week in one city on vacation. I saw Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Arc de Triumph, and the Eiffel Tour all before 4 pm on Saturday and I was feeling like I was done! I think that my next (my first, actually) real vacation will be to a warm tropical beach....that sounds like a good vacation to me.

Enjoy the pictures.
